Bob Foerster
General Manager
Hired by Cloverdale Minor Baseball Association in November 2022, Bob is the first General Manager for the Cloverdale Rangers Baseball and oversees the progress and the development of the Rangers program. Bob’s focus is to build an environment for athletes to compete, learn and thrive at the next level, while working with like-minded people to help athletes reach their own goals and aspirations.
Before accepting the role of General Manager, Bob was the Head Coach of the 18U Cloverdale Nationals College Prep team where he served as Head Coach for 4 seasons. In that time, Bob developed and helped over 20 graduating players with college baseball opportunities. Bob’s mentor of coaching stems from his time playing against LC State and remembers Coach Ed Cheff. Coach Cheff expectations of playing the game the right way and leading by example is the corner stone of Bob’s beliefs, both as a coach and as the GM.
An infielder and catcher by trade, Bob played for the University of British Columbia from 2007-2011 and played for Kwantlen University prior to the 2007 season. After graduating from UBC, Bob played for the Northern District Reds in Adelaide, South Australia, and the Langley Sr. Blaze where he is a two-time Senior Men’s National Champion and a 3-time Senior Men’s Provincial Champion.

Mike Dance
18U College Prep Head Coach
Mike continues coaching our 3A Midget team since taking over the position in the Spring of 2020. During his tenure as Head Coach, Mike has proven that hard work, determination and focusing on the fundamentals helps develop players to play loose and free without any added pressures.
A native of Alberta, Mike moved to BC and played in White Rock through his high school career. Once finishing high school baseball, Mike immediately started his coaching career, and the rest is history. Mike, his wife and 3 children live in Cloverdale for the past 19 years.
The former President of Cloverdale Minor Baseball Association, Mike has been with Cloverdale baseball for over 14 years and has been a Provincial Champion at 15U AA Bantam and 18U AAA Midget, which was as recent as 2022. Following his Provincial win, Mike was named BC Minor’s Coach of the Year for the 18U Division in 2022.
Mike’s coaching style of hard work, fundamentals stems from Major League coaches Joe Maddon and Mike Scioscia. Communicating to players what they can control and having a clear mind allows players to play free and easy.
Chris Mills
18U 3A Midget Head Coach
Chris will be taking on the role of the Midget AAA coach this season where he was an assistant with the team the previous year. He brings with him a love of the game and vast knowledge of the sport from his years of coaching at the highest levels from Tadpole summer ball through to Bantam AAA.
Chris has been a member of the Cloverdale baseball association for over 17 years. He has had three of his children play their entire minor baseball in Cloverdale with his fourth still actively participating in the sport in the U13 A division.
Chris has been coaching both baseball and hockey teams for the past 30 years within the Cloverdale community, Surrey and Delta. He has coached both at the rep and house levels in both sports with a strong emphasis on teaching the fundamentals of the game while creating a competitive but fun environment.
Chris’s goal with coaching young players of any sport is to teach and promote team and hard work while building a love of the game.
Michael Dagg
Technical Director for Bantam,3A Bantam Head Coach
Michael has been the Head Coach of the Bantam 3A team since 2019 and has recently been appointed Technical Director of the Bantam program, which oversees the development and planning of the Rangers Bantam teams.
Michael has been a valuable member of the Rangers program and continues to grow as a coach. Consistently displaying exceptional talent as a coach, his unique approach to teaching has not only made learning the game exciting but also inspires a love for the game, which is seen amongst his players. His passion for coaching is infectious and its reflection of joy and enthusiasm in his players. Michael loves to coach kids at all levels and is an active member in BC Baseball’s Coaching Caravan that travels the province.
Michael’s high school playing career started for the Langley Blaze and continued with a scholarship to Taft College in California.
John Parker
John Parker was announced as Head Coach of the Cloverdale Rangers College Prep team in November 2022. John brings over 30 years of coaching experience in multiple different sports and is a valuable member of our High-Performance program.
After moving to Cloverdale in 1986, where he still lives today, John started coaching baseball for Cloverdale Minor Baseball Association. During that time, John spent 17 years in various roles which include but not limited to President, Vice- President, Equipment Manager, etc and of course coaching. Following his time with CMBA, John coached several BC Teams to Championships, Canadian Championships, and an additional 13 years coaching in the BC Premier Baseball League.
Growing up and as an adult, John played all sports and was apart of 4 Provincial Championships and 1 Canadian Championship in soccer. As well as a Provincial Championship in baseball.
Still rooting for his lovable losers, the Chicago Cubs, his favorite player is ‘Mr. Cub’ Ernie Banks.
Like his mentor, John Haar, John believes to be a great baseball player is to be a great athlete. Which means each player should play as many sports as possible and that will help develop better baseball players. John’s mantra is “Be the best you can be and get better every day.”
Dave Palmer
Logistics and Financial Controller
Dave was a board and Executive member of the Cloverdale Minor Baseball Association for 8 years and has lived in the Cloverdale community since 2006. An avid fan of youth baseball and photography you will usually see Dave on the sidelines taking the photos that are shared on our social media sites and shared with player families. When not taking photos, Dave manages all of the administrative work for the Rangers program, which includes but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, and everything in between. Dave has been managing baseball teams for over 10 years.
